Gibsons School of the Arts Classes

During this class you will leave "safe" behind and learn to stretch your creative muscles. You will begin by dying and decorating inexpensive tissue papers to use as a collage base for your work but will add other media, when needed, to get the desired results - inks, crayons, stamps or anything else that the work needs. You will be working from CHAOS, developing the design or idea as the painting demands; and will also begin with good compositional designs and develop the paintings from there. The main question to be explored is "What would happen if..." Students will be encouraged to try ideas and then to respond to what happens on the work. This class has an emphasis on FUN, with many mini-demos and plenty of time to PLAY! Students will take their art to new heights and let their creativity soar!!
